EventBooking.com CEO John Platillero appointed Evelyn Ingram Director of Sales as of January 2009. Ingram has worked for EventBooking.com in the live-event industry since 2003.
In her previous role as Director of Client Services, Ingram was involved in every facet of client interaction from initial contact, phone and e-mail support, training and problem-solving. In the process she forged deep and lasting friendships with many clients.
For many EventBooking clients, Ingram has also been the point person for design and development of their new venue websites, integrating the EventBooking.com calendar infrastructure with online marketing.
Platillero explained the decision to move Ingram into sales full-time. “Evelyn has a genuine connection with customers. She is a good listener, whose primary goal is to find solutions to problems.”
“Because of those traits, I felt Evelyn would be the perfect person to introduce our existing clients and lead the effort to gain new clients that could benefit from the extraordinary amount of innovation we will be introducing this year.”
Ingram has worked in a sales/consultant capacity since 1981. She worked for Xerox, 3M, and for Fred Pryor Seminars (Pryor Resources), where she represented Fred Pryor as a keynote speaker to the associations and meetings marketplace. While there, she also functioned as In-House Training Consultant to major US corporations.
Ingram said she is excited about the future for EventBooking—“launching a new version of our product, new partnerships, new product integrations—it is a vey dynamic time for EventBooking.”
