Q. Describe your “perfect” meal, complete with dessert.
A. I love food, so it’s too tough to narrow this down to one specific menu. But, my favorite meals are those shared with family or close friends—long, 2+ hour affairs with multiple courses—starting with drinks and appetizers, moving on to entrees and a nice bottle of wine, and finishing with a small dessert. The whole event would be accompanied by great conversation and lots of laughs.
Q. What’s something about you that might surprise people?
A. I once played trombone in a disco cover band.
Q. What’s something you know more about than most people?
A. Horn parts for 1970’s pop music (see above).
Q. What is one of your favorite places that you’ve traveled to? Why?
A. Peru! The food, culture, people, and scenery are amazing.
Q. What’s your favorite movie? Favorite book (or favorite Artist/Band)
A. There are too many great things to pick just one, but I’ll give it a shot!
Q. If you could have dinner with one person (living or dead) who would it be?
Q. What’s something you’re passionate about?
A. I’m passionate about music and the arts. I started my career as a musician and arts administrator before working in performing arts venues. I still play music as a hobby and side gig, and it is something that keeps me sane and heals my soul.
Q. What’s something you would tell yourself 10 years ago?
A. It’s okay if you don’t know everything.
Q. If you could master one skill you don’t have right now, what would it be?
A. Being good at completing “favorites” lists.
Q. What are your personal hobbies?
A. Music, cooking, hiking, and traveling
Q. Who inspires you?
A. I am inspired by creative people who are passionate about ideas and sharing them with other people.
David, it’s an absolute honor and joy to have you at EB!
