EventBooking Listed by Inc. Magazine as a 2020 “Best Workplace”

EventBooking ranks among the top 13% of workplace cultures out of over 3,000 submissions.

KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE – May 6, 2020 – EventBooking, a venue management software company, has been named one of Inc. magazine’s Best Workplaces for 2020, which singled out 395 winning companies from more than 3,000 submissions. This is the second consecutive year EventBooking has received this recognition.

EventBooking will be listed among the final “Best Workplaces” in the May / June 2020 issue of Inc. magazine. That list is also currently showcased as the main feature on the Inc.com homepage. The results come from a comprehensive measurement of private American companies that have created exceptional workplaces through vibrant cultures, deep employee engagement, and stellar benefits.

Each nominated company took part in an anonymous employee survey on topics including trust, management effectiveness, perks, and confidence in the future. Inc. gathered, analyzed, and audited the data, then ranked all the employers using a composite score of survey results.

According to survey data, 96% of EventBooking employees consider themselves to be “highly engaged” with the company, and when prompted to describe the work environment in one word, the top adjective submitted was “collaborative.” Employees were also invited to provide optional comments, which were also anonymous. In one response, an employee shared:

“By leaps and bounds, this is the best place I’ve ever worked. We have a true  “no blame” culture that seeks to figure out how to avoid issues in the future rather than figuring out who gets thrown under the bus. People care about one another and are willing to go out of their way to help. These attributes come from the top down.”

The strongest engagement scores came from companies that prioritize the most human elements of work. These companies are leading the way in employee recognition, performance management, and diversity. It’s a different playbook from a decade ago, when too many firms used the same template: free food, open work environments, and artifacts of “fun.”

While researching the finalists, Inc. saw distinct themes:

  • 100 percent provide health insurance—and some cover the cost.

  • 50 percent allow employees to bring pets to work.

  • 62 percent take employees to offsite retreats to relax and recharge.

  • 20 percent offer paid sabbaticals to reward length of service.
