A very Happy Birthday to our very own, Alex Weygandt! Alex is a cornerstone of our Client Success team and excels at providing exemplary service when our technology alone cannot. We are so appreciative of all he’s done for our clients and who he is. This particular “Coffee & Conversation” makes it easy to see why!
Q. What is your role at EventBooking and what do you like about that role?
A. I am a member of the Client Success team and I help people overcome the challenges of working in the live events industry. There is nothing better than knowing that someone will be able to go home to their family instead of spending hours and hours tracking event information manually on paper.
Q. Describe your “perfect” meal, complete with dessert.
A. I am a bit of a foodie so that is a hard one to answer. At this point in time I would say chicken red curry with vegetables, a side of *very* garlic bread, and raspberry chocolate swirl cheesecake with irish cream coffee for desert. Is it lunch time yet?
Q. What’s something about you that might surprise people?
A. Probably nothing. I tend to be really open about my geekey-ness so I am a bit of an open book. I was voted “most likely to have a cup of coffee at 6pm” so I think people know me pretty well.
Q. What is one of your favorite places that you’ve traveled to?
A. It’s a tie between class-4 white water river rafting in Colorado and Space Camp when I was a little kid.
Q. What’s your favorite movie, book, or artist/band?
A. I am a fan of the Lord Of the Rings books and have read them multiple times in my life.
Q. If you could have dinner with one person (living or dead) who would it be?
A. Good grief, I would actually have to split the time between J. R. R. Tolkien and have him clarify a few things from his books, and Albert Einstein so we can talk about some of the most recent discoveries in science.
Q. What would you tell yourself 10 years ago?
A. Diversify your investments more, less pizza more fish, and Vienna Coffee house (local) has the best Irish Cream and Aztec Chocolate coffee around.
Q. If you could master one skill you don’t have right now, what would it be?
A. Database management. I know a little but it would be really fun to master.
Q. What are your personal hobbies?
A. Camping, and I’m also a big video game player. I love to read science fiction, watch sci-fi movies, and most recently I have really gotten into the Lord of the Rings card game.
Happy Birthday, Alex!
