Happy Birthday to Laura Harris! As a front-end web developer here at EventBooking, we are so thankful for all the skill and expertise she offers this company on a daily basis. We got to know her a little more through this brief Q & A:
Q. What is your role at EventBooking and what do you like about that role?
A. My role at EventBooking is Front-End Web Developer. I like that it allows me to build something people will use to make their jobs easier.
Q. Describe your “perfect” meal, complete with dessert.
A. Fresh lobster, lightly buttered, with a side of steamed vegetables dashed with a lemon-pepper seasoning and raspberry ice cream with a fudge brownie for dessert. But let’s face it, whenever I can consume starchy carbs in abundance is when I am happiest.
Q. What is one of your favorite places that you’ve traveled to?
A. A few years ago I visited Heavenly Ski resort near Lake Tahoe, CA. One of my favorite memories of the trip was sitting on top of a snow capped mountain with nothing but the sound of ski’s cutting the powdery snow in the distance while looking down at the beautiful lake. I took it all in before my next trip to the bottom.
Q. What’s something about you that might surprise people?
A. My first car was a 1966 Chevy Nova that I rebuilt with my father. If I found that car I would buy it back in a heartbeat.
Q. What’s your favorite movie? Favorite book (or favorite Artist/Band)?
A. I don’t pick favorites. My taste varies often and there is so much good entertainment out there. As long as it either entertains or inspires me, I will give it a try.
Q. What’s something you’re passionate about?
A. Being happy as well as bringing that feeling to the people in my life.
Q. What would you tell yourself 10 years ago?
A. When to invest and sell in Apple, Microsoft, Netflix, major pharmaceuticals, etc.
Q. If you could master one skill you don’t have right now, what would it be?
A. I would like to be able to play/shred guitar.
Happy Birthday, Laura! Thanks for all you do!
