Happy Birthday to our very own, Linda Moyer! As the Director of Customer Education at Eventbooking, we are so appreciative of all she’s done for this company and the passion she has for teaching and serving our clients. This “Coffee and Conversation” gets us better acquainted with what makes her tick.
Q. What’s something you’re passionate about?
A. Teaching and connecting with kids.
Q. What’s something about you that might surprise people?
A. I play viola (and sometimes cello) in Scruffy City Orchestra, a local community orchestra.
Q. Describe your “perfect” meal, complete with dessert.
A. Honestly, any meal cooked by my mom would be great, but dessert would have to be my grandmother’s sour cream chocolate cake.
Q. What is one of your favorite places that you’ve traveled to?
A. I used to live in Kenya, and favorite places to go on break were to the coast (white sand beaches on the Indian Ocean) or to one of the parks – Lake Nakuru, Masaai Mara, Amboseli, Hell’s Gate.
Q. What’s your favorite movie? Favorite book?
A. The movie I quote the most is Apollo 13, because there is an Apollo 13 quote for every situation. I read a ton, but if I had to pick a favorite book, it would be Dorothy Sayers’ Lord Peter/Harriet Vane mysteries. Which is more than one book, but that’s the best I can do. 🙂
Q. If you could master one skill you don’t have right now, what would it be?
A. Speak a second language fluently.
Q. What is your role at EventBooking and what do you like about that role?
A. I am Director of Customer Education, and I also assist with on-boarding new accounts and various support requests. I am a teacher at heart and I love that so much of my job is really teaching.
Happy Birthday, Linda! So thankful to have you here at EB!
