Q. Describe your “perfect” meal, complete with dessert.
A. A medium-well sirloin steak with A1, and a loaded baked potato with a sweet tea. Followed by tiramisu for dessert.
Q. What’s something about you that might surprise people?
A. In college, I was simultaneously in a gospel quartet and a Christian heavy metal band.
Q. What’s something you know more about than most people?
A. Sci-fi, pop culture, toys, and comics—I am a true nerd when it comes to useless knowledge.
Q. What is one of your favorite places that you’ve traveled to? Why?
A. I actually have not traveled very much in my life, but I have always wanted to visit Ireland, since it is where most of my ancestors are from.
Q. What’s your favorite movie? Favorite book (or favorite Artist/Band)?
A. Movie: Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back (it was the first Star Wars movie I remember seeing at a drive-in, and it was AMAZING!)
Book: It’s a tie for me between Mere Christianity and Ready Player One (I know my tastes are odd)
Favorite Artist: Weird Al Yankovic—he’s just a musical genius
Q. If you could have dinner with one person (living or dead) who would it be?
A. George Lucas or Dave Filoni
Q. What’s something you’re passionate about?
A. Finding new ways to solve old problems
Q. What’s something you would tell yourself 10 years ago?
A. Buy bitcoin…just kidding (not really though). I would tell myself not to sweat the small stuff, and be less anxious about what people think. We are always hardest on ourselves.
Q. If you could master one skill you don’t have right now, what would it be?
A. I play several stringed instruments and drums, but I would love to master the acoustic guitar more (I’m good, but not great).
Q. What are your personal hobbies?
A. I am an avid 3D printer and also love painting what I have printed. I have been doing custom action figures/models for years. My wife and I have just recently started preparing to open a D&D mini-business, and are gearing up for a full launch in the fall.
Q. Who inspires you?
A. My kids. They are always thinking outside of the box and have a great perspective on life.
Mike, it’s an absolute honor and joy to have you at EB!
